CALL FOR NOMINATIONS – INTERIM BOARD VACANCIES 2026
ILGA–North America and the Caribbean (ILGA-NAC) is inviting nominations to fill vacancies on its Regional Board of Directors.
This call is intended to identify committed individuals who can contribute their experience, perspectives and leadership to ILGA-NAC during the interim period leading to the Regional Meeting and Board transition planned for September 2027, subject to formal approval of the proposed Board-term extension.
About the ILGA-NAC Board
The ILGA-NAC Regional Board manages the affairs of the region between Regional Meetings within the framework of the ILGA-NAC Constitution, Standing Orders and policies.
The Board comprises eleven members: two representatives from member organizations in the Caribbean, two from Canada, two from the United States, and five representatives identified in the Constitution as BITWY: Bisexual, Intersex, Trans, Woman and Youth.
The six geographic representatives are elected, while the five BITWY representatives are appointed by the elected Board members. Where a BITWY vacancy occurs between Regional Meetings, the Constitution provides for the Regional Board to appoint a replacement for the unexpired portion of the term
